summer beach destination, known for its seven mile long stretch of pristine white sand beach stretching away from downtown, on the Atlantic Ocean. The town has many tourist attractions, souvenir shops, beach residential properties, condominiums, motels and beds and breakfasts.

Old Orchard Beach was first established as a “Garden by the Sea” back in 1653 by Thomas Rogers and the town’s name is also taken from his abandoned apple orchard.  Now, the town is more popular as a tourist destination than a residential area. It boasts a seaside amusement park named Palace Playland. This old-timey Oceanside Park is a great place for family friendly activities. The kids can enjoy the huge arcade, carousel, ferris wheel, roller coaster and Noah's Ark (boat-shaped funhouse with hand-carved figures of Noah and his family). For elders there are fireworks every Thursday night. If you are into golf, the spectacular 18 hole Dunegrass Golf Club, offers you a quiet, exciting game.

No matter what your age or interest is, Old Orchard Beach offers fun and merriment to everyone.
